Demographics & Mapping

A couple of U.S. Presidential elections ago I became aware of a map called “Purple America” It broke down America’s voting for an election by county, red being for Busch, blue being for Gore. It was (and is) just fascinating to state at it. Big cities. Rural plains. College towns in the middle of nowhere. While we all have our different views locally, across the continent we are all purple

 

Okay so then I started collecting more data types that use maps to visually show their real meaning. I’m no Nate Silver (my ADHD gets in the way of looking at numbers too long), I do like his stuff:
